The Process

Every Lorimer piece starts with a sketch. Many pieces are hand-carved in wax before being sent to a NYC-based caster to be cast in recycled precious metals. Other pieces are hand-fabricated by melting, rolling, sawing, and soldering metal ingots to create more architectural aspects of the designs. Amy carves every intricate detail under a microscope to define each small and delicate detail.

Lorimer is made with ethically sourced materials and crafted using traditional hand-fabrication techniques. Many pieces are carved and cast using the lost-wax method, while some are fabricated directly in metal.
